Arcade Apartments is the largest apartment development project in St. Louis in decades. For a structure of its size and age, the building is in very good condition. At the early stages of demolition and early construction, crews have been hard at work cleaning, repairing and/or replacing brick, terra cotta and other exterior features such as the parapet walls. The objective is to get as much of this exterior work completed as possible before the winter weather hits with full force. Beautiful Gothic detailing - the series of amazing gargoyles surrounding the Arcade, for example - will be cleaned and restored to their original beauty as construction continues.
Inside, construction crews are completing demolition slated for specific parts of the structure, including some windows and flooring. Teams have already begun the frame out work on some apartments, and crews are beginning to rough-in electrical, plumbing, and other interior infrastructure.
Up on the 19th floor, Dominium's development team is overseeing construction of a spectacular community clubroom. The rooftop clubroom and its adjacent terrace promise to be signature amenities: Views of the St. Louis skyline will be nothing short of breathtaking!
